Scouting Report

Dalton has excellent size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 185 lbs. Throws with a tall platform, showing very good vision downfield. Has an over the top delivery which adds height to his throws.
His throwing mechanics are sound and consistent. Able to square up as he pivots in the direction of his receivers prior to delivery. His timing and anticipation of his receivers routes help to up his accuracy with good ball placement.
Dalton has a strong vertical passing game, extending the field with long throws made downfield. He can also get the ball out to his receivers at short and intermediate in a hurry.
A over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Fully accelerated arm motion. High release point for added height to his throws.
An athletic QB for a player of his size who does a nice job getting to the outside with good mobility. Would like to see added quickness and speed. Squares up with his receivers with strong forward momentum.
This is an area in which Dalton will be able to work to improve on. He’s most comfortable as a pocket passer but also shows good athleticism rolling to the outside. Nice footwork on his drop backs, with balanced stride.
Good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receivers to break.
When given the time and space, he's right on the mark. Can work to add a quicker first step with added mobility.
His throws are made with good judgment, delivering quick strikes, allowing the defense minimal time to react.
Has the ability to create a softer release when needed. Gets the ball in between coverage or can lay it out on a bubble screen. Tight trajectory on his deep passes.
