SIZE:
Gray has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 165 lbs. This QB can hurt you in many different ways. He works well within the pocket but can also take it to the outside if needed. Throws with a high release point and extended arm motion for a higher ball delivery.
ACCURACY:
He’s right on the mark with his throws at the short and intermediate range. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong throwing QB who can make all passes required of him. His short and intermediate passes include high velocity throws that get through the secondary in a hurry. Solid vertical passing game, able to extend the field with his arm strength.
RELEASE:
Gray throws with an over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Great zip on the ball. Does a great job adjusting the angle and velocity of his throws based on situation.
THROW ON RUN:
Does a nice job getting to the outside of the pocket as he remains focused downfield for potential targets. His throws include strong forward momentum as he fires the ball in the direction of his target.
FOOTWORK:
He works well around the backfield, with good mobility and agility. Serves as a running QB, with bursts of speed through the defense. A north-south strong running QB.
POISE:
He displays good control of his offensive unit. Confident in his abilities as a QB, not afraid to be aggressive with his throws.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows good patience in the backfield, able to sit back as he waits for the play to develop. He shows good awareness of the space around him.
DECISION MAKING:
Gray's a very intelligent QB who makes the right call based on the defensive scheme. Able to work through his receiver options, processing the information quickly.
TOUCH:
His throws include a soft touch and solid trajectory. Making the right adjustments to his velocity depending on the passing situation.
