Griffin has good size for a 2040 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 175 lbs. He’s super athletic, able to do anything that he wants on the field. An aggressive competitor who's always in attack mode.
ACCURACY:
When Griffin's in the game, things speed up and plays are made. He can hit on anywhere on the field. Whether it comes from on the run or in the pocket, he shows good accuracy. Very good throwing mechanics and consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can let it rip for way back, making throws with tight trajectory. His vertical is deadly because of the threat of his running ability. High velocity throws that come through with dart like precision.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with an arm motion that comes from way back. Because of this, he’s able to gain increased momentum upon his delivery. Very good body mechanics and footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Griffin's a skilled Dual Threat, able to get to the outside in a hurry while seeking out potential targets. He holds many weapons to his arsenal, which can spell trouble for defenses.
FOOTWORK:
Very elusive out in the open field, with spins and quickness. He’s very difficult to contain once he breaks free. Shows good vision while on the run.
POISE:
Good awareness of the incoming pressure, able to move away from the traffic. He shows good patience in the pocket, waiting for his receivers to complete their routes. Led his team to a State Championship win, earning the MVP.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket whether setting up for deliver or shifting to the outside for a quick hitter. Able to step up in the pocket or move laterally when needed.
DECISION MAKING:
Griffin does a very good job going through his progressions while on the fly. He’s an intelligent QB who takes advantage of what the defense gives him. Very decisive with his throws.
TOUCH:
Very good touch in all areas of the field, short, intermediate and long. He’s skilled at taking something off the velocity of his throws when needed.
