SIZE
Hauss has good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'0" 190 lbs. Displays good toughness and vison while on the run taking on would-be tacklers. Throws with a high release point allowing for the ball to gain added height upon release. Runs spread offense out of a shotgun formation
ACCURACY:
Very impressed with his ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. His throws are in-line with his receivers, with tight spiral and rotation. Good ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH
Very good arm strength, able to reach all areas of the field with high velocity. Doesn’t lose much while on the run. Able to squeeze the ball in tight areas of space, while extending the field with long range passes.
RELEASE:
His throws are made with an over the top, fully extended arm motion. High release point, allowing for added height to his throws. Very sound throwing mechanics with consistency.
THROW ON RUN
This is where Hauss shows best in his abilities as a QB. Very good quickness and speed getting to the outside, serving as a legit Dual Threat, working in either mode, pass or run. Squares up with target with good stride and balance.
FOOTWORK:
Very good footwork within the backfield while moving well laterally in either direction. He’s very active in the pocket, working his way away from traffic.
POISE:
Good control of offensive with ability to lead his unit downfield. Very focused while executing the play. He controls the pace of the game.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable within the pocket, able to stand tall in the pocket while he surveys the field or take it to the outside. Quick reads while on the go.
DECISION MAKING:
Hauss has a very good understanding of the game. Transitions well while in game mode.
TOUCH
Tight trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air underneath the ball. A softer delivery in between zone coverage.
