SIZE:
Hayden has very good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’1” 200 lbs. He’s very athletic who has many weapons at his disposal. Very durable within the pocket, able to show patience as he waits for his receivers to break. Strong running QB who’s able to take on would be tacklers with good leg strength.
ACCURACY:
His throwing mechanics are consistent, whether on the run or in the pocket. Able to square up as he pivots in the direction of his receivers prior to delivery. His timing and anticipation of his receivers routes help to up his accuracy with good ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
Hayden has a very strong arm, able to fire it into tight windows of space within the secondary as well as extending the field with long throws downfield.
RELEASE:
A left-handed QB with full arm extension. An over the top delivery that comes across quickly.
THROW ON RUN:
Hayden's an athletic QB, able to get to the outside with good quickness and vision. He’s very dangerous out in the open field, seeking out potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Solid footwork within the pocket as well as out in the open field. Difficult to contain within the backfield. He's constantly on the go, not giving the defense a chance to pin him down. Balanced stride on his dropbacks and set ups.
POISE:
He’s a playmaker and a true competitor on the field. Good patience in the pocket, able to follow through on the play.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of the space around him, able to pick up on defensive pressure with escapability.
DECISION MAKING:
His throws are made with good judgment, delivering quick strikes over the middle, allowing the defense minimal time to react.
TOUCH:
Another area of major strength for Hayden, able to create a softer release when needed. Getting the ball over zone coverage. Tight trajectory at long range.
