Scouting Report

SIZE:
Hudson has good size for a 2028 Pro Style QB at 5'10" 130 lbs. This QB has that "it" factor. Sound throwing mechanics with leads to consistency, which leads to accuracy. There's nothing fancy in his game, he just gets it done. Among the top in his class as a pocket passer.
ACCURACY:
This is a strength to Hudson's game. He fires darts throughout the field. He’s skilled with the ability to see the entire field, opening up his options. Throws made of sharp precision. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws get to his receivers in a hurry, made with high velocity. Throws made on a rope. Accelerated throws pierce the defense while opening up the field with a strong vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery. Minimal deviation, resulting in a consistent throwing motion. His arm motion starts from way back creating strong momentum throughout his delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
An athletic QB who can get to the outside with good mobility and speed. Displays good vision downfield, as well as body rotation.
FOOTWORK:
Well balanced stride on his dropbacks and set ups. Not considered a Dual Threat but can take it in for a short yardage pickup.
POISE:
He gets locked in the zone as he works methodically to pick apart a defense. Very calm under pressure, not fazed by the noise around him. A confident QB who gives his all for the team.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Hudson has good sense for the space around him. Able to feel the incoming pressure. Most comfortable in the pocket, able to see the entire field.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area of strength for Hudson. He’s perfected his craft this off-season in 7v7 play. Able to work through his progressions, primary to secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Nice touch in all areas of the field. He knows how to work the ball.
