SIZE:
Hunt has good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6'1" 180 lbs. He shows good mobility getting around the pocket as he works to create added space. Should be able to add bulk to his frame over the next couple years before entering the collegiate level. High release point gives him added height to his throws.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing precision passes made at short and intermediate range. Good anticipation and timing with his receivers over the middle. Threw for a 65% completion rate this past season. Will need to tighten up on his deep passes with more game reps.
ARM STRENGTH:
Hunt's able to make all the throws required of him. He can work to improve on the velocity of his passes at the intermediate range as well as creating tighter trajectory on his long range throws.
RELEASE:
Throws with a classic over the top delivery with a high release point. Can work to improve on the consistency of his footwork prior to set up as well as on his drop backs.
THROW ON RUN:
Able to get to the outside with good quickness. Does a nice job keeping himself in-line with his receivers. Strong forward momentum on his delivery.
FOOTWORK:
Hunt’s an athletic QB who does a nice job getting around the pocket. Shows good quickness as he gets out in the open field.
POISE:
Shows good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receivers to break on their routes. Remains calm while under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Works well with his offensive unit. Able to execute plays from beginning to end.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a nice job finding his primary target, making a decisive throw with very little wasted time.
TOUCH:
Does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release at the short and intermediate range.
