SIZE:
Jack has very good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 180 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket, firing bullets into the secondary for his intended targets. Displays good ability in the pocket, able to sit in the pocket with good patience or maneuver around for added space. A playmaker on the field who never gives up on a play.
ACCURACY:
He gives his receivers the ability to make a play on the ball. His throws are made with a tight spiral, making for a very catchable ball. Good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Very consistent with his delivery when given time to set up, adding to his accuracy. Loses a bit while on the run. Threw for a 60% completion rate last season.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is not an issue for Jack. High velocity throws get to his receivers in a hurry. The defense is left with no time to react. He can fire the ball into tight windows of space or let it fly over coverage.
RELEASE:
Jack throws with an over the top delivery. A fully extended arm motion, while getting the ball across quickly. Accelerated momentum throughout his arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Very athletic QB who can be quite dangerous out on the outside. He serves as a potential dual threat who can shift gears in a hurry. Displays excellent vision downfield while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very difficult to contain within the pocket while being elusive out in the open field. His steps are sharp and his movement is smooth.
POISE:
Extremely confident in his abilities as a QB. He controls the pace of a game and can turn it up at any moment, a playmaker.
DECISION MAKING:
Very decisive with his throws downfield, wasting very little time getting the ball off. Displays a calm aggressiveness while attacking the defense. Taking chances when he sees an opportunity, trusting in his receivers.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his passes for added touch. Can take something off on a fade route or fire it in between defenders.
