Scouting Report

SIZE:
Jackson has very good size for a 2021 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 180 lbs. A tall presence in the backfield, able to survey the field with good height and vision. His follow through includes a fully extended arm motion.
ACCURACY:
When given the time and space to set up, his accuracy increases. He nails it at the short and intermediate range with sharp passing. His deep passes could include a tighter trajectory.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to fire in high velocity throws into tight windows of space or he can ease up for a softer delivery. Able to generate momentum with a full extension, giving his throws longer range.
THROW ON RUN:
Jackson displays very good mobility getting to the outside of the pocket. He has a quick first step and along his long stride, can get there in a hurry. Excellent vision downfield. Squares up nicely with his receivers.
FOOTWORK:
A very athletic QB with his size can result in a very deadly combination. He displays very good quickness and speed while on the run, picking up chunks of yardage with his longer stride.
POISE:
Displays good patience in the pocket as he waits for the play to develop.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good agility within the pocket. A good sense of the space around him with the ability to avoid traffic and improvise while on the run.
DECISION MAKING:
Jackson's an intelligent QB who understands the game. He does a very good job working through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength. He works best when having to adjust the velocity of his throws. A sweet touch pass as he works to sneak one in between zone coverage. Tight trajectory on his deep passes.
