SIZE:
Jackson has very good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 175 lbs. A tall presence in the backfield, able to oversee the entire field for potential targets. He throws with a fully extended arm release, able to add even more height to his throws. A tall, lengthy QB who'll add bulk to his frame these next few years.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with good timing and location, allowing for his receivers to make a play on it. High velocity throws at short and intermediate range, made with sharp precision. Loses a bit of accuracy at longer distances.
ARM STRENGTH:
With size comes arm strength. He can hit in all areas of the field. Letting it rip at short range or let it fly at long distances. Would like to see a tighter trajectory.
RELEASE:
Jackson throws with an over the top delivery, coming with a fully extended arm motion. Good footwork on his drop backs and set ups. Tall platform.
THROW ON RUN:
Shows good mobility as he works to the outside, squaring up with his target. Good movement for a QB of his size.
FOOTWORK:
Solid footwork on his drop backs and setups, showing good stride and balance. Would like to see a quicker first step.
POISE:
Jackson displays good patience, waiting for the play to develop. Can work to add more mobility within the pocket, working away from traffic.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Throws with a tall platform, able to survey the entire field for potential targets.
DECISION MAKING:
Works well through his progressions. Good read on defense as he hits on his primary target.
TOUCH:
Very good touch at every level. He’s able to adjust the velocity of his throws when the passing situation calls for it.
