Scouting Report

Jackson has very good size for a 2020 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 190 lbs. Does a nice job working his way around traffic in the pocket as he lines up with his targets. A tough running QB who takes on would-be tacklers for extra yards.
His throws are in-line with his receivers, with good location and timing. He’s able to maintain the accuracy of his throws while on the run. Among the most efficient passers in the country. Its all there, body positioning, ball placement and consistent throwing technique.
Shows very good strength of arm. Able to fire the ball into the secondary with high velocity. Good distance and trajectory on his deep passes. Throws made within the secondary get to his receivers in a hurry.
His throws include an over the top delivery which comes from way back. A fully extended arm motion for added momentum, giving long range potential, with strong forward motion.
This is an area in which Jackson excels. He’s a pure Dual Threat who’s most dangerous while on the run. Able to go with the pass play or change things up by taking the ball and going the distance.
Another area of strength. He’s very elusive out in the open field. Displays bursts of speed and breakaway ability while getting through the secondary.
Jackson's very confident in his abilities as a QB. Not easily distracted by the noise around him. A complete package, switching from a Pocket Passer to a Dual Threat, with the ability to throw or run.Jackson is hard to contain within the pocket because of his elusiveness and quickness. He does a nice job escaping from the defensive pressure, creating open space for himself.
An intelligent QB who makes quick decisions on the fly. Works well through his progressions, locating outlets receivers as secondary options.
He's worked to improve on creating a softer touch and it shows on film. Easing off the velocity while adding touch to his delivery. Solid trajectory at long range.
