SIZE:
Jacob has excellent size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 195 lbs. This QB has a cannon for an arm. Very difficult for defenders to react to darts thrown throughout the field. He'll have college ready size prior to entering collegiate play. Very durable in the pocket with lower body strength.
ACCURACY:
He’s on the mark with his throws, able to set up in the pocket as he surveys the field. Displays sound throwing mechanics which are very consistent. Good anticipation of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
His best attribute is strength in arm. This allows for throws made of high velocity. Tight rotational spin. Generates increased momentum through his arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Jacob is most comfortable as a pocket passer but he can also work to the outside with good mobility. He works best in the pocket, where he can tear apart a defense with his vision, strength and accuracy.
FOOTWORK:
Very good footwork on his dropbacks as well as his set ups. An athletic QB who shows good mobility for his size.
POISE:
He’s very calm while in the pocket, able to work through his progressions patiently. Strong confidence in his ability to lead his team downfield. Good feel of defensive pressure, able to get to ball on time.
POCKET PRESENCE:
A tall presence in the backfield, able to see clearly over the line of scrimmage. He can hit in any area of the field with strength in arm.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who works well through his progressions. Does a nice job seeking out his primary receivers and releasing the ball without hesitation.
TOUCH:
This is an area Jacob will continue to work on, easing off his strong delivery for a softer toss when needed. Tight trajectory at longer distance.
