SIZE:
Jacob has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 200 lbs. This QB can hurt you in many different ways. He works well within the pocket but can also take it to the outside if needed. Throws with a high release point and extended arm motion for a higher ball delivery.
ACCURACY:
He’s right on the money with his throws at the short and intermediate range. Able to lead his receivers with good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Can work to improve on his body rotation prior to delivery which will improve accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong throwing QB who can make all passes required of him. His short and intermediate passes include high velocity throws that get through the secondary in a hurry. Solid vertical passing game, able to extend the field with his arm strength.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Jacob does a nice job getting to the outside of the pocket as he remains focused downfield for potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
He works well around the backfield, with good mobility and agility. Not considered a Dual Threat but can take the ball in for short yardage gain.
POISE:
He displays good control of his offensive unit. Confident in his abilities as a QB, not afraid to be aggressive with his throws.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows good patience in the backfield, able to sit back and wait for the play to develop. He shows good awareness of the space around him.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB who makes the right call based on the defensive scheme. Will be able to continuously work through his receiver options, processing the information quickly with more game experience.
TOUCH:
His throws include a soft touch and solid trajectory. Making the right adjustments to his velocity depending on the passing situation.
