SIZE:
Jake has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’0” 185 lbs. He has a strong built, very good durability within the pocket.
ACCURACY:
A very accurate passer who can pick apart defenses with precision throws. Hits his receivers while in stride. His throws include a tight spiral, getting to his receivers in a hurry. Good timing and anticipation of receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
Jake throws with a rocket of an arm. He’s able to fire it into tight windows of space within the secondary with high velocity throws. Able to extend the field with bombs that are made with accuracy and touch.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. He does a nice job adjusting the angles of his delivery when in tight spaces.
THROW ON RUN:
An athletic QB who can get to the outside with good mobility. Strong forward momentum upon his release.
FOOTWORK:
Good speed and quickness while on the run. Can serve as a running QB in short yard situations. Balanced spacing and stride on his set ups.
POISE:
Jake's not easily distracted by the pressure around him, stays focused through the completion of the play.
DECISION MAKING:
He wastes very little time getting the ball to his receivers. Decisive with his throws, showing good judgment and ball placement.
TOUCH:
Very good trajectory on his deep passes, able to add touch to his vertical throws. Also does a nice job reducing the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release at the short and intermediate range.
