SIZE:
Jayden has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6'3" 165 lbs. A playmaker on the field, able to turn it up at any given moment. Gets out of the box in a hurry with solid footwork, works well to open up added passing lanes. Should be able to add some bulk to his frame over the next few years prior to entering the collegiate level.
ACCURACY:
His throws include tight trajectory, getting the ball to receivers in a hurry. He puts it in for his receivers to make a play on it, with good ball location. Picks up on his receivers with good anticipation and timing of their routes. Threw for a 71% comp rate this past season. Consistent mechanics add to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
Very good arm strength on throws at the short and intermediate range. Gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Able to make cross field throws while on the run. Legit vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
Throws the ball with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm motion. The ball gets out in a hurry with increased acceleration throughout his follow through. Very good footwork prior to his set up.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where he's at his best, able to make big plays on the edge. Deadly on the run, with very good vision downfield with the ability to locate a potential target.
FOOTWORK:
Demonstrates very good mobility within the pocket, moving quickly to avoid traffic while creating space for himself.
POISE:
He works well with his offensive unit, using all of his receivers. Very confident in his abilities as a pocket passer but can also serve as a running QB when needed.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Jayden has good feel for defensive pressure and reacts quickly while maintaining his focus on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
Very impressed in his ability to work so quickly out of the box. Very good patience as he waits for the play to develop. Pass first, run second.
TOUCH:
Another area of strength. Displays solid trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air underneath. Able to make the right adjustments on the angle and delivery of his passes at the short and intermediate range.
