SIZE:
JD has very good size for a 2029 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 170 lbs. Displays agility in the pocket, opening up additional passing lanes. A playmaker. He never gives up on a play, always looking downfield.
ACCURACY:
Very precise with his delivery. Sound throwing mechanics. Remains consistent with off-platform throws.
ARM STRENGTH:
A quick release with high velocity on throws at short/intermediate range. A quick release with increased acceleration.
RELEASE:
His throws include an over the top delivery from way back. A fully extended arm motion for added momentum, giving him long range potential.
THROW ON RUN:
This is an area in which JD excels. Good speed and quickness as he works to the outside. Most dangerous while on the run, opening up the entire field. Skilled at working through his options.
FOOTWORK:
This QB is always on the go. Difficult to pin him down. Moves well laterally, away from traffic. A legit threat while on the run.
POISE:
Very confident in his abilities, taking chances downfield in tight coverage with excellent ball placement.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Difficult to contain without the pocket because of his elusiveness and quickness. He does a nice job escaping pressure.
DECISION MAKING:
This is where he separates himself from his peers. He's a quick thinker, works through his options in a hurry. He understands the game.
TOUCH:
Very good at developing a softer release when needed.
