SIZE:
Joaquin has very good size for a 2026 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 163 lbs. Very good agility in and around the pocket, able to create space while keeping his vision downfield.
ACCURACY:
A rhythmic passer who shows very good timing with his receivers. Does a nice job seeking out his best option receivers, which has worked well for him in 7v7 play.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to hit in all areas of the field with good velocity. A quick release with increased acceleration throughout his arm motion.
RELEASE:
He does a nice job setting up prior to delivery. An over the top delivery with added height from the release point.
THROW ON RUN:
Joaquin's an athletic QB who can get to the outside with speed and quickness. He displays good vision downfield as he seeks out potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Not labeled as a dual threat but can serve as a running QB, picking up on short yardage situations.
POISE:
Displays good leadership skills as he led his team in 7on7 play. Remaining focused while executing the game plan, not distracted by the noise around him.
POCKET PRESENCE:
This is one of Joaquin's better attributes. He works the pocket so well, moving laterally across as he creates open passing lanes for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
He does a good job going through his progressions as it shows during 7on7 competition. He'll be able to turn it up a notch at the high school level.
TOUCH:
Good touch on his deep passes as well as the shorter routes. He’s able to make the right adjustments, depending on the passing situation.
