Joey has very good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'2" 175 lbs. He’s a quick hitting QB who gets the ball out in a hurry. Able to work his way around traffic for added space. Strong throws made with accelaration motion and rapid rotation.
ACCURACY:
Sharp preecision passing made over the middle of the field. His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing good ball placement. Works well with his receivers as he waits patiently for their breaks. Good anticipation and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays a strong release on his short and intermediate routes. Good zip on the ball, including a tight spiral. He can spread the field with bombs made over coverage. Tight trajectory.
RELEASE:
Joey throws with a full extension> Tthe ball comes from over the top with a high release point. He gets the ball out in a hurry with a fluid throwing motion.
THROW ON RUN:
Does an excellent job getting to the outside and making a play downfield. Good body rotation and forward momentum upon release.
FOOTWORK:
Very good lateral moblity. Can be quite dangerous out in the open field as he locks in on his target with strong delivery. A straight forward runner.
POISE:
In full control of the offense, has a take charge mentality when on the field. Very good leadership skills. Remains calm under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good sense of the space around him. Works well around traffic while still focusing on the play.
DECISION MAKING:
Makes quick reads on his inital targets. A playmaker who's always seeking out big play opportunites. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
Offers a softer delivery when needed. Tight trajectory on his longer throws.
