SIZE:
John has good size for a 2027 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 170 lbs. He throws with a fully extended arm motion, giving the ball added height upon release.
ACCURACY:
When given the time and space around him, his accuracy goes way up. He works well within the pocket, able to survey the entire field. Would like to see him tighten up on his throwing mechanics for more consistency in delivery.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays throws made of high velocity within the secondary. He loses a bit of the velocity on the deeper routes, leaving extra air underneath the ball.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Solid footwork prior to set up of delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
John's most comfortable in the pocket but can also venture out with his athletic ability, seeking out potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
He shows good agility in and out of the pocket. Good speed and quickness in his game. A quick footed QB.
POISE:
He’s gaining confidence in his play with more game experience. Very versatile, able to do whatever the coaches needs of him. Not afraid to take chances with his throws, especially in one-on-one situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good feel of the traffic around him, able to create space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
With more game experience, especially at the high school level, Kyle will be able enhance his ability to read defenses. He does a nice job seeking out his primary target when open.
TOUCH:
His throws into coverage include a softer touch when needed. Would like to see less air underneath his deeper passes and can ease off the velocity on his short routes, bubble screens.
