Johnny has good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6'3" 170 lbs. A quick hitting QB who gets out of the box in a hurry. He attacks the defense in every area of the field. Tall platform in the pocket with a high release point.
ACCURACY:
Sharp precision passing whether he's stationary or on the go. He does a nice job getting his steps down before he sets up for delivery. Very consistent delivery, adding to his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
This QB can let it rip, showing off high velocity throws throughout the field. He can fire it into tight windows of space or let it fly on deeper routes. Increased acceleration throughout his motion.
RELEASE:
Johnny has an over the top release with a fully extended arm motion. Works well to adjust the angle of his delivery when space is limited and timing is imperative.
THROW ON RUN:
He's very dangerous on the go. An athletic QB who can take it in or hit a target while on the fly. He’s a playmaker with the ability to turn it up at any moment.
FOOTWORK:
He works the entire backfield, displays very good vision while on the run. Quick footed QB who works out of the box in a hurry.
POISE:
He controls the tempo of the game. Very confident in his abilities as a Dual Threat.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good sense of the traffic around him, able to clear space for himself. Very comfortable roaming the pocket while waiting for a potential target to appear.
DECISION MAKING:
Johnny works best while on the fly. He’s able to improvise, and make sometime happen from nothing. A quick-thinking QB who wastes very little time getting the ball out.
TOUCH:
He’s a reactive QB who shows the ability to get the ball out in a hurry. But can work to ease off his delivery to create a softer touch on certain passing situations.
