SIZE:
JR has good size for a 2027 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 170 lbs. This QB is a fierce competitor. He plays well above the level of competition. Played up for a high school JV team, leading them to an undefeated season.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, with good location and timing. He’s able to maintain his accuracy while on the run with a consistent delivery.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to make all the throws required of him. A quick release, getting the ball off in a hurry. Would like to see a tighter trajectory at longer range.
RELEASE:
His throws include an over the top delivery which comes from way back. A fully extended arm motion for added momentum and higher velocity.
THROW ON RUN:
This is an area in which JR excels. He’s a pure Dual Threat who’s very dangerous while on the run. Able to go with the pass or change things up by taking the ball in with a burst of speed.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very elusive out in the open field. Displays bursts of speed and breakaway ability while getting through the secondary.
POISE:
JR's still developing as passer, and with more game experience he’ll be able to become a complete Dual Threat QB with the ability to transition from throw to run.Difficult to contain within the pocket because of his elusiveness and quickness. Able to escape from pressure, creating open space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
Good initial reads with quick hitters. Good patience as he waits for the play to unfold.
TOUCH:
Good touch while on the run. Able to squeeze the ball into gaps within coverage.
