SIZE:
Joivan has very good size for a 2031 Dual Threat QB at 4'11" 105 lbs. He’s a very durable QB with strong lower body. Very difficult to take down on his runs, showing good footwork and strength.
ACCURACY:
He displays good throwing mechanics, making consistent throws that are in-line and on time. Good placement, allowing for his receivers to make a play on the ball. Can tighten up on trajectory at longer distances for added accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong armed QB who can hit at any range from inside the pocket. High velocity throws that get to his receivers in a hurry.
RELEASE:
Joivan throws with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm motion. Solid footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
THROW ON RUN:
A quick footed QB who can get to the outside with good speed and mobility. Shows good body rotation as he squares up.
FOOTWORK:
Quickness in step. Would like to see him add more speed in his game, emphasizing his dual threat capabilities. Quick reflexes, able to move in all directions with a quick first step.
POISE:
Joivan will continue to gain more confidence in his abilities with more game experience. A true competitor who leads by example.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense of incoming pressure, able to set up or side step away from traffic.
DECISION MAKING:
Picks up on his initial reads, connecting with his primary targets. Can work to avoid making throws in tight coverage.
TOUCH:
Good blend of throwing variations. Able to adjust the velocity of his throws, from quick hitters to soft toss fades. Can work to eliminate added air underneath for tighter trajectory.
