Scouting Report

SIZE:
Josh has good size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6'2" 175 lbs. He throws with a high release point, giving the ball adding lift. He sits in the pocket with a tall platform, able to see the entire field.
ACCURACY:
Josh is dead on with his throws. He has a very consistent throwing motion, allowing for minimal deviation. Passes are made in-line with his receivers.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays good arm strength on his short and intermediate throws. A very quick release off the hand which allows for added velocity.
RELEASE:
This is an area Josh has learned to perfect. Very good throwing technique which is consistent and fluid. An over the top delivery with full arm extension.
THROW ON RUN:
Josh shows good lateral movement from side to side. Good acceleration upon release, solid body rotation. An area he continues to work hard at, improving to get his footwork down.
FOOTWORK:
A longer stride QB who can get from place to place in a hurry. He shows solid footwork on his dropbacks, with good spacing.
POISE:
Very coachable with a good understanding of the game. He shows good patience in the pocket as he waits for the break of the route.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Josh will need to put together more game experience, allowing him to get a feel for the space around him. He’s able to keep his focus while in play mode.
DECISION MAKING:
This will be another area in which Josh will work to improve on with more game experience. Shows good decisiveness when assessing the play at hand.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Josh. He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws, creating for a softer throw.
