Josh has very good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6’1” 197 lbs. Stands in the pocket with a tall platform, able to oversee the entire field. A long stride running QB with good lower body strength. Delivers with a high release point.
ACCURACY:
His throws are right on the mark, hitting his receivers while in stride. Throws made with a tight spiral, getting the ball to his receivers in a hurry. Able to work within tight areas of space, making the adjustments needed to his delivery. Displays very good ball placement and touch.
ARM STRENGTH:
He can hit in all areas of the field with a strong delivery. His short and intermediate throws include high velocity and sharp precision. Solid vertical passing, getting the ball up and over coverage.
RELEASE:
Josh has a consistent delivery. He throws with an over the top, fully extended arm motion. He’s able to generate momentum throughout his delivery, creating strong velocity.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s a pure Dual Threat, able to work inside as a pocket passer or get to the outside to deliver a strike. Displays very good mobility and quickness on the go, while surveying the field.
FOOTWORK:
Josh is very polished on his footwork, especially on his drop backs and set ups. Quick footed with well balanced spacing in stride. Quick footed, running a 4.6/40.
POISE:
Josh is a leader on the field, inspiring his teammates with his determination and toughness. Very calm while in pressured situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of defensive pressure, able to set up in the pocket or break out to the open field. Very agile QB able to work in between traffic.
DECISION MAKING:
Josh works the entire field, seeking out big play opportunities. Most dangerous while on the go. A playmaker on the field, able to improvise while on the go.
TOUCH:
Able to ease of the velocity of his throws, while creating a softer release. Skilled at getting the ball up and over or in between zone coverage.
