SIZE:
JC has excellent size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'5" 220 lbs. Plays well above his competition. Super athletic with the ability to make plays on the go. He throws with an over the top delivery, giving his throws added height. A tall lengthy QB who'll continue to add bulk to his frame.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in line with his receivers, Sharp precision at short and intermediate range, loses a bit of accuracy at longer distances. Threw for a 85% completion rate this past season.
ARM STRENGTH:
JC throws darts all over the field. He’s a sniper when targeting routes over the middle, hitting his receivers with high velocity throws. Able to extend the field with his deep passes, getting them over the top.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery, arm fully pulled back. Able to generate momentum and increased velocity through his arm motion. Would like to see more consistency on feet placement prior to release.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s very dangerous out in the open field. Able to get to the outside with good speed and mobility. An athletic QB who can hit on big opportunities downfield.
FOOTWORK:
Super athlete with great quickness at a 4.79/40. Works well as a Dual Threat because of his quickness and elusiveness. Very difficult to contain within the backfield, good agility and escapability.
POISE:
He displays play making ability on the field. With his athleticism, he’s able to improvise while on the go. Good awareness of the pressure around his, as well as space. Very confident in his abilities as a QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good patience as he waits for his receivers to break on their routes. He works quickly out from the gate, locating his targets while delivering strikes.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s very decisive with his throws, displaying what I call controlled aggressiveness, attacking the defense. Trusts in his receivers ability to make a play on the ball.
TOUCH:
He’s able to lower the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release. Tight trajectory of throws made at long range.
