Keaton has good size for a 2027 Dual Threat QB at 5'10" 160 lbs. This QB gets it done without a lot of flare. He's a tough competitor who uses all of his resources to lead his team downfield. Delivers the ball with a high release point, allowing for the ball to gain lift upon release.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers with good ball placement. Gives his receivers a chance to make a play on the ball. Threw for a 71% completion rate last season.
ARM STRENGTH
Reaches all areas of the field with high velocity and strong momentum. Doesn’t lose much while on the run. Able to squeeze the ball into tight areas of space, while extending the field. Very dangerous vertical passing game with bombs delivered downfield. Tight trajectory of delivery.
RELEASE:
His throws are made with an over the top, fully extended arm motion. High release point, allowing for added height to his throws. Very sound throwing mechanics along with consistency.
THROW ON RUN
Good speed and quickness getting to the outside. Serving as a Dual Threat, able to work in either direction. Squares up evenly with his target.
FOOTWORK:
Keaton shows very good footwork within the backfield, able to move laterally in either direction. He’s very active in the pocket with good speed and quickness out in the open field.
POISE:
Good control of the offense, with strong ability to lead his unit downfield. He’s very focused while executing the play fully.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable within the pocket, able to stand tall in the pocket while he surveys the field or take it to the outside. He does a good job reading the defense while on the go.
DECISION MAKING:
A quick thinker while on the go. Not afraid to make throws within tight coverage.
TOUCH
Able to ease off velocity for a softer delivery when needed.
