SIZE:
Kolter has very good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 194 lbs. Very calm in the pocket, able to methodically pick a defense apart. High extension of his release location, giving added height to his throws.
ACCURACY:
This is an area of skill for Kolter. He’s able to make throws within very good ball placement. Leads his receivers with good anticipation and timing. Threw for a 75% completion rate this past season.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws over the middle are on a tight rope, with high velocity and quick release. Able to extend the field with a strong arm, able to hit his receivers in stride. Has improved on his long range game, adding a tighter trajectory.
RELEASE:
He throws the ball with a classic over the top release and a fully extended arm motion. He gets the ball off in a hurry, giving the defense very little time to react. Good footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
THROW ON RUN:
Kolter's very comfortable in the pocket, whether its as a pocket passer or rolling out on the run. He shows good positioning of the ball and solid footwork. Squares up nicely with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
He’s an athletic QB who shows good movement and agility out on the field. Good speed at a 4.9/40.
POISE:
In full control of his offensive unit. He does a nice job picking up defensive pressure while getting the ball off.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He displays good patience and awareness in and around the pocket. Very good lateral movement, able to escape the pressure and create space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
An intelligent QB, able to pick up on reads, and attacking defensive weaknesses. Does a good job working through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Kolter. He can be a finesse passer when needed or can turn up the dial with high velocity throws in the heart of the defense.
