SIZE:
Kyen has very good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 175 lbs. He plays well above the level of competition. Very durable within the pocket. A tough QB with a strong running game, punishing would-be tacklers, picking up additional yards. Good height, able to see over the line of scrimmage while surveying field.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made in-line with his receivers. Would like to see him add consistency to his game for improved accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
His short and intermediate throws are made with high velocity. Can work to tighten up on the trajectory of his throws made at long range.
RELEASE:
Kyen throws are made with a very high release point, adding lift to the ball. An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
A very athletic QB who can take over a game with his skills. He very quick getting to the outside, can be deadly while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step moving in all directions. Great burst of speed and mobility while out in the open field. Creates separation from defenders.
POISE:
In full control of the game situation. He plays well above his competition, able to turn it up at any time. Good awareness of pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to assess the defense, while executing the play. Confident in his abilities as a passer and runner.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area in which Kyen will continue to develop. Would like to see more patience in the pocket before taking off.
TOUCH:
Has good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage, making throws with a catchable ball.
