SIZE:
Leo has excellent height for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 170 lbs. A pure pocket passer with a tall platform, able to oversee the line of scrimmage. He shows good patience in the pocket as he waits for the play to develop. Throws with a high release point, giving his throws added height. A tall frame which will allow for added bulk over the next year prior to collegiate play.
ACCURACY:
This QB is almost always right on the mark. He has a very consistent delivery, allowing for minimal variation to his arm motion. Does a nice job picking up the timing and anticipation of his receivers routes. Nails it on crossing patterns.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws are made with increased velocity, getting to his receivers in a hurry. Very strong momentum upon his release.
RELEASE:
A sweet release. Fully extended arm motion which comes out from over the top. A high release point, giving his passes added height.
THROW ON RUN
Leo's most comfortable within the pocket but can also be quite effective out in the open field. He maintains the same consistency and velocity on his throws outside the pocket.
POISE:
Very calm demeanor within the pocket as he works to assess the defensive coverage. He doesn’t let the outside noise distract him from the game.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Has a good feel for the space around him, able to work around traffic. Very consistent on his delivery, along with good vision downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
Leo does a nice job working through his progressions. He's already developed the ability to look off receivers, as he works through his progressions. This will only be enhanced as he gets to the high school level.
TOUCH:
Very good touch on his throws that are made within zone coverage and well as on the deeper routes. Works well to adjust the velocity of his throws.
