SIZE:
Luke has very good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6’3” 197 lbs. After watching his film, all I can say is...wow! This QB is relentless while attacking a defense. He plays with a controlled aggressiveness. Able to clear himself from traffic, creating additional passing lanes for himself. Excellent vision downfield, while picking apart a defense.
ACCURACY:
Throws with precision and timing. Able to hit his receivers while in stride. Fundamental sound throwing mechanics, along with consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
Displays strong velocity throws made over the middle, hitting his targets with bullets in between zone coverage. He can hit all areas of the field with excellent range. Strong vertical passing game, extending the field while seeking out big play opportunities.
RELEASE:
There’s very few QB’s who are as consistent as Luke on his delivery. He throws with an over the top release with a fully extended arm motion.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where this QB excels. Maybe the best outside the pocket passer in the '23 class. Very fluid with his movement, allowing for an efficient stride. He’s deadly while in motion, showing strong forward momentum on his release.
FOOTWORK:
Shows good agility in and around the pocket. Precise footing and spacing on his dropbacks.
POISE:
He’s not easily distracted by the noise around him. Very polished and comfortable while in the pocket. He’s a leader who stays calm under pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows very good patience while executing the plays. He does a nice job picking up defense pressure.Very focused while going through his progressions. Working from his primary targets to his check downs.
TOUCH:
He a strong passer who can make the proper adjustments on the velocity of his throws for a softer delivery.
