SIZE:
Mac has very good size for a 2028 Dual Threat QB at 5’11” 165 lbs. He plays well above the level of his competition. A tough QB with a strong running game, willing to take on would-be tacklers for additional yardage. Good height, able to see through the line of scrimmage while surveying field.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with the ability for his receivers to make a play on it. They display good ball placement, up and away from the defender.
ARM STRENGTH:
Mac gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. His short and intermediate throws are made with high velocity. Dangerous vertical passing game while extending the field.
RELEASE:
His throws come from a high release point, adding lift to his delivery. An over the top delivery with full arm extension.
THROW ON RUN:
An athletic QB who can take over a game with his skills. Very quick getting to the outside, can be dangerous while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step moving in all directions. Bursts of speed along with good mobility while out in the open field. Creates separation from defender. Runs a 4.9/40.
POISE:
Mac's in full control of the game situation. Capable to turn it up at any given time. Good awareness of pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, assessing the defense, while executing the play. Confident in his abilities as a passer and runner.
DECISION MAKING:
This is an area in which Mac will continue to perfect. Once he enters high school, his ability to pick up on coverage will excel to the next level.
TOUCH:
Has good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage, making plays with a catchable ball.
