Maddox has excellent size for a 2028 Dual Threat QB at 6'1" 185 lbs. West Virginia's got a good one! He's a dynamic player on the field who can turn it up at any moment. Plays well above the level of competition. Plays with intensity, a never give up mentality.
ACCURACY:
He can hit on anywhere on the field. Whether his throws comes from on the run or in the pocket, he displays very good accuracy. Very good throwing mechanics.
ARM STRENGTH:
High velocity throws with increased acceleration. A dangerous vertical passing game. Strong forward momentum on his delivery.
RELEASE:
He has an over the top delivery with full extension. Gains momentum upon his delivery. Good throwing mechanics and footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
Maddox can get to the outside in a hurry while seeking out potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Very agile in the pocket with fluid mobility. Shows good vision while on the run. He's always on the run with breakaway speed.
POISE:
Good awareness of incoming pressure, able to move away from traffic. Good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receivers breaks.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He’s very comfortable in the pocket whether setting up for deliver or shifting to the outside for a quick hitter. Able to step up in the pocket or move laterally when needed.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a good job going through his progressions while on the fly. He’s an intelligent QB who seeks out big play opportunities. Very decisive with his throws.
TOUCH:
Good touch in all areas of the field, short, intermediate and long. Tight trajectory at longer distances.
