Malachi has excellent size for a 2027 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 190 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket, surveying the field for bi play opportunities. A long stride runner who can pick up chunks of yardage while on the run.
ACCURACY:
Malachi can get the ball to any location on the field with aggressive throws that are made with precision. He’s able to maintain his accuracy whether its in the pocket or on a roll out. The key to his accuracy comes from his sound throwing mechanics along with his consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
His arm strength is never a question. He fires darts into the defense, extending the field with bombs delivered downfield. Never losing the accuracy of his throws.An over the top delivery that comes across quickly with continued acceleration upon release. He does an excellent job getting set up, while delivering throws of high velocity.
THROW ON RUN:
A proven pocket passer who can also work to the outside with good mobility. Sets up evenly as he locks in with a receiver.
FOOTWORK:
Malachi's a very athletic QB who can escape pressure and pick up yardage with his speed and quickness.
POISE:
In control of the offensive unit as he leads them downfield. Very comfortable within the pocket, showing patience and poise.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good job picking up on pressure as he woks to create added space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
He’s skilled at reading coverage, taking advantage of openings. Very decisive with his throws, leaving defenders little time to react.
TOUCH:
His throws include tight trajectory on the deep ball along with a soft release when needed at short/intermediate range.
