Mason has good size for a 2026 Dual Threat QB at 6’1” 184 lbs. A mobile QB in the pocket, showing good lateral movement. Very competitive, never gives up on a play.
ACCURACY:
He throws a very catchable ball, one made with a tight spiral. Displays good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Will add to his accuracy when getting set prior to delivery.
ARM STRENGTH:
Connects with his receivers in all areas of the field, showing good strength in arm. Strong delivery at short and intermediate range. Tight trajectory vertically down the field.
RELEASE:
A left handed passer. Over the top, full extension. He gets the ball out quickly with increased acceleration.
THROW ON RUN:
Good quickness working to the outside while his vision remains downfield. Squares up with his intended target with strong forward momentum.
FOOTWORK:
Well balanced stride on his dropbacks. Good speed and quickness out in the open field with elusiveness.
POISE
He works quickly from a Pocket Passer to a Dual Threat QB, able to play either role and succeed.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very good at picking up on the defensive pressure while making space for himself within the pocket. Able to step up in the pocket, or roll to either side as he surveys the field.
DECISION MAKING:
Mason has good patience as he waits for the play to develop. He works well through his progressions, from primary to check down receivers.
TOUCH:
Makes plays within the secondary with a soft release and tight trajectory.
