Mason has good size for a 2027 Pro Style QB at 6’4” 200 lbs. This is poised to become an elite QB prospect. He has the size along with sound throwing mechanics. High extension of his release location, giving added height to his throws.
ACCURACY:
This is an area of skill for Mason. Sharp precision passing made with throws of tight rotational spin. Very good ball placement and timing.
ARM STRENGTH:
His throws over the middle are on a rope, with high velocity and a quick release. Able to extend the field with a strong arm, connecting with his receivers while in stride.
RELEASE:
He throws the ball with a classic over the top delivery, with full arm extension. This allows for the ball to get out quickly, giving the defense very little time to react.
THROW ON RUN:
Mason's very comfortable in the backfield, whether its as a pocket passer or rolling out on the run. He shows good positioning of the ball and solid footwork. Squares up nicely with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
He’s an athletic QB for his size who displays good mobility and agility out on the field. Very good footwork on his dropbacks and also prior to his set ups.
POISE:
His leadership on the field is displayed on film, in full control of his offensive unit.
POCKET PRESENCE:
He displays good patience in the pocket waiting for his receivers' break.
DECISION MAKING:
Mason's an intelligent QB, able to pick up on defensive coverage. Does a nice job going through his progressions.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Mason. He can be a finesse passer when needed or can turn up the dial with high velocity throws in the heart of the defense.
