SIZE:
Mason has good size for a 2023 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 170 lbs. A tough competitor who attacks defenses with an all out air assault. His game is all about speed, from the moment he gets out the box, to his roll outs, to his delivery.
ACCURACY:
When given the time and space around him, Mason's very accurate. He works well within the pocket, able to survey the entire field. A quick hitting QB who gets to ball to his receivers in a hurry. Remains consistent in delivery while on the run.
ARM STRENGTH:
Able to make all of the throws required of him. Displaying throws made of high velocity within the secondary. Solid vertical game with bombs made downfield.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Solid footwork prior to set up of delivery.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Mason excels, while on the go. Demonstrates athletic ability as he seeks out potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Displays very good speed and quickness and he works his way around the pocket. Solid footwork on his drop backs and set ups, with good balance and stride. Very difficult to contain with spins and elusiveness.
POISE:
Very versatile, able to do just about anything on the field. Not afraid to take chances downfield, especially in one-on-one situations.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Mason has a good feel of the traffic around him, able to create space for himself. Does a nice job picking up on opportunities downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
Quick reads, seeking out his primary target when open. Quick thinking QB who makes big plays throughout the field.
TOUCH:
His throws over the middle include a soft touch, getting the ball in between zone coverage. Tight trajectory on throws made downfield.
