Matt has very good size for a 2024 Pro Style QB at 6'3" 180 lbs. A quick hitting QB who attacks the defense at every level.
ACCURACY:
Throws made with sharp precision and timing. Connecting with his receivers while in stride with good ball placement. His throws get to the receivers in a hurry, not allowing the defense any time to react. Very consistent throwing motion. Sound mechanics.
ARM STRENGTH:
Matt gets off high velocity throws, hitting his targets over the middle and in between zone coverage. He can hit all areas of the field with throws that get to his receivers in a hurry. Strong forward momentum on his delivery.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with full extension. Super-charged throws made with a quick release. Very good footwork prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
An athletic QB who can get to the outside with good speed. Very fluid with his movement, allowing for an efficient stride. He’s dangerous while in motion with strong forward momentum on his release.
FOOTWORK:
Good agility in and around the pocket. Precise footing and spacing on his drop backs.
POISE:
Matt remains calm while under pressure. Very confident in his abilities.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Gets out of the box with a quick first step. Good patience.
DECISION MAKING:
He's a quick hitting QB, able to locate his primary target quickly after his reads. Wastes very little time getting the ball out.
TOUCH:
A strong passer who can also make the proper adjustments on the velocity of his throws to add a softer touch on deeper patterns.
