Matthew has excellent size for a 2026 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 205 lbs. He stands out from the other players on the field because of his size. A tall presence in the backfield, able to survey the field with good vision. A tough running QB who takes on would-be tacklers.
ACCURACY:
His throws are very catchable with good placement. He puts it in for his receivers to make a play on it. Very good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes.
ARM STRENGTH:
Very good arm strength with throws made of high velocity with full arm extension. Gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry.
RELEASE:
A left handed QB. Matthew delivers the ball with full extension. With his size, comes the ability to extend the field with a legit vertical passing game.
THROW ON RUN:
He’s very comfortable within the pocket but also displays good athleticism while out in the open field. Good vision downfield with the ability to locate a potential target.
FOOTWORK:
For a QB of his size, Matthew displays very good footwork. Does a nice job getting out of the set position with good spacing and quickness.
POISE:
He works well with his offensive unit, using all of his resources. Shows good patience in the pocket while waiting for a play to develop.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Matthew has good feel for incoming pressure and reacts with good judgement.
DECISION MAKING:
This is his best QB attribute. Shows good patience and vision downfield. Continues to improve on his decision making abilities while playing 7v7.
TOUCH:
Displays tight trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air underneath.
