Scouting Report

Matthew has excellent size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’5" 200 lbs. He stands in the pocket with a tall platform, able to survey the entire field. A tall and lengthy QB who’ll be able to add bulk to his frame over the next couple years before entering the collegiate level. High release point gives him added height to his throws.
His throws are in-line with his receivers, showing precision passes made at the short and intermediate range. Good anticipation and timing with his receivers over the middle.
Matthew has the advantage of size, which gives him a fully extended arm motion and longer throws. This allows for him to get over the top, giving him a solid vertical passing game. Passes made within the secondary include high velocity throws.
Throws with a classic over the top delivery with a high release point. Excellent footwork on his dropbacks and set ups.
Matthew’s an athletic QB who’s able to get to the outside with fluid movement. He's most comfortable as a pocket passer but able to get to the outside with a strong delivery.
This will be an area in which he’ll continue to work and improve on, specially on his lateral movements. Excellent footwork prior to delivery, within his throwing lane. He has a huge advantage in leg stride, able to pick up yardage in a hurry. Will need to get his speed and quickness up.
Shows good patience in the pocket as he waits for his receivers to break on their routes. Not easily distracted by the noise around him.
Matthew throws with a tall platform with good balance and stride. Works well with his offensive unit. Able to execute plays from beginning to end.
He does a nice job going through his progressions, from his primary target on down to his secondary outlets.
Skilled at making the right adjustments to the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release at the short and intermediate range. Very good touch on the deeper routes, displaying solid trajectory with just enough air underneath.
