Scouting Report

SIZE:
Michael has excellent size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 180 lbs. He stands tall in the pocket able to survey the entire field. Runs out of a spread formation, a rhythmic quick hitting passer. Sets up with a high release point, giving rise to the ball. Should be able to add bulk to his frame before the collegiate level.
ACCURACY:
His throws reach his receivers with good ball placement, accuracy and timing. Whether his passes are made at the short or long range, Michael doesn’t lose much on accuracy Kills it on the inside slants. Excellent body positioning and feet placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
A strong armed QB who can fire it into the secondary on a rope, or lay it out on a fly route at long distance. Could tighten up on his trajectory on the deep routes.
RELEASE:
He releases the ball with an over the top delivery and fully extended arm motion. This gives his throws added height. His motion is smooth and consistent.
THROW ON RUN:
For a QB of his size, Michael is super athletic. He shows very good mobility as he moves to the outside of the pocket, getting his feet in front of him and in-line with his potential targets.
FOOTWORK:
Very agile in the pocket, able to create space for himself. Very good footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
POISE:
His confidence level is way up there. He believes in abilities and feels very comfortable within the pocket.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Michael's very difficult to contain within the pocket. Displaying very good agility and mobility. Able to step up in the pocket or roll out for added space.
DECISION MAKING:
Able to hit on his primary targets. Already demonstrates the ability to work through his progressions, from primary to secondary outlets.
TOUCH:
Very impressed in his ability to adjust the velocity of his throws. From his soft touches on the fade routes, to his laser strikes over the middle.
