SIZE:
Nicholas has good size for a 2022 Dual Threat QB at 6'0" 185 lbs. He works the entire backfield as he uses his ability to gain added space for himself, seeking out big play opportunities. Very difficult to contain because his feet are always moving.
ACCURACY:
This QB can make just about any throw with sharp precision. Does a nice job getting his body squared up toward his target. Shows good timing and anticipation of his receivers routes. Has worked to add more consistency to his delivery, increasing his accuracy.
ARM STRENGTH:
Throws made with high velocity, getting the ball in between tight windows of space. Solid vertical passing game.
RELEASE:
His throws come from over the top with a fully extended arm motion. Good footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
THROW ON RUN:
This is when he's most dangerous, on the run. A legit Dual Threat QB when he gets out in the open field. He’s extremely difficult to contain and can take it in at any time, displaying excellent speed and quickness.
FOOTWORK:
This definitely is Nicholas' best attribute as a Dual Threat QB, his ability to make defender miss, and blow by them. A very athletic QB who can light it up at any given moment.
POISE:
A very confident QB, able to take over a game with his skills and athleticism. He does a great job picking up on defensive pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Excellent agility and movement in and out of the pocket. Able to work within the space around him with very good vision downfield.
DECISION MAKING:
Nicholas displays good judgment on the field, able to work through his progressions as he seeks out potential targets.
TOUCH:
Very impressed in his ability to ease off the ball when a softer release is needed. Tight trajectory at long range.
