SIZE:
Porter has very good size for a 2023 Dual Threat QB at 6'0" 180 lbs. A very competitive QB who never gives up on a play. Can fire the ball all over the field, attacking the defense at every level.
ACCURACY:
He’s able to get the ball in-line with his receivers with sharp precision. Good anticipation and timing as he leads his receivers in stride.
ARM STRENGTH:
Porter displays excellent range, able to hit in all areas of the field. A very good vertical passing game, able to extend the field while expanding coverage.His throws come from a fully extended arm motion, as it comes from over the top, generating added momentum.
THROW ON RUN:
Very agile within the pocket. Fluid motion getting to the outside, while squaring up with his intended target.
FOOTWORK:
Works best when he’s able to step back and pick up on his best option receiver. Good agility within the backfield, able to escape the incoming pressure while staying focused on the play.
POISE:
Has all of the right tools needed to become an elite QB. A confident QB who trusts in his instincts.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable within the pocket. Seeks out big play opportunities as he works through his progressions. Good feel for the space around him.
DECISION MAKING:
Connects with his best option receiver with quick reads. Makes high percentage throws with good ball placement.
TOUCH:
This is an area of strength for Porter. He’s delivers the deep ball with a tight trajectory and touch. Displays a soft touch at all levels, getting the ball in between zone coverage.
