SIZE:
Preston has good size for a 2022 Dual Threat ATH/QB at 5'11" 189 lbs. He’s a playmaker on the field, able to do just about anything he wants against an opposing defense. His quickness allows him to use the entire backfield, seeking out big play opportunities. His throws come from all angles, working well within tight areas of space. Excellent running QB with great vision downfield.
ACCURACY:
Whether he’s sitting in the pocket or rolling out, Preston’s accuracy is still right on the mark. He does a nice job getting his body in-line with his receivers.
ARM STRENGTH:
He’s able to hit on all areas of the field, with strong throws made with increased velocity, especially at the short and intermediate range. Able to extend the field with his deep passing game.
RELEASE:
He throws with a classic over the top delivery, which comes across quickly at a three-quarter extension.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Preston works best, out in the open field. He's able to switch from a passer to a runner at any given moment. A legit Dual Threat Qb who can take over a game.
FOOTWORK:
Very good speed and quickness out in the open field. Displaying elusiveness and shiftiness as he maneuvers through the defense. Solid footwork on his dropbacks and setups.Runs a 4.5/40.
POISE:
A very confident QB who set the tone on the field with his ability to control the game. Serves as a multi-purpose athlete, playing the QB position as well as getting reps as a WR.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very difficult to contain within the backfield, showing excellent agility and movement. Picks up on defensive pressure quickly while doing a nice job getting away from it.
DECISION MAKING:
Preston's a quick thinker, able to get the ball off in a hurry. He works all of his options.
TOUCH:
Very nice touch pass for a Dual Threat QB, especially while on the run.
