Preston has excellent size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6’2” 190 lbs. He plays well above the level of competition. A tall presence in the backfield, able to survey the field with very good vision. A tall lengthy QB who'll add bulk to his frame these next few years.
ACCURACY:
This QB's got a smooth delivery. Fully extended with sharp precision. Gets the ball out in a hurry, leaving the defense very little time to react. Excellent ball placement.
ARM STRENGTH:
Preston makes his throws seem so effortless. Very good arm strength, able to squeeze the ball within tight windows of space or can let it rip at long range. High velocity throws.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion. Able to generate strong momentum upon release. With his size and strength, Preston's able to extend the field with a very effective vertical passing game.
THROW ON RUN:
For his size, this QB's very athletic. Long stride running QB who gets out with good quickness. Excellent vision downfield with the ability to locate a potential target.
FOOTWORK:
For a QB of his size, Preston displays very good footwork. Good spacing on his steps with a side release. He’s elusive downfield with the ability to side step would-be tacklers.
POISE:
He works well with his offensive unit, using all of his receivers. Shows very good patience in the pocket while waiting for a play to develop.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Displays a good sense of the space around him, able to move around traffic, while creating added space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
Impressed with his ability to work through his progressions. Shows good patience and vision downfield.
TOUCH:
Displays solid trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air underneath. Softer release at short and long range.
