SIZE:
Preston has very good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 198 lbs. He serves as the complete package, able to do all things on the field. Tall platform in the pocket, with an over the top delivery and fully extended arm motion. Tough running QB with good quickness. Adds extra height to his throws with a high release point.
ACCURACY:
Shows good accuracy on his throws made while stationary in the pocket. Doesn’t lose much on accuracy while on the run. He does a nice job getting his steps down before set up.
ARM STRENGTH:
This QB can let it rip, showing off high velocity throws made throughout the field. He can fire it into tight windows of space or let it fly on deeper routes. Many weapons to his arsenal.
RELEASE:
Preston has an over the top release with a fully extended arm motion, gaining added momentum to his delivery. Works well to adjust the angle of delivery when space is limited and timing is imperative.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Preston is most dangerous, on the go. An athletic QB who can take it in or hit a target while on the fly.
FOOTWORK:
He’s very quick out in the open field with a burst of speed, creating separation. Works the entire field, very good vision while on the run.
POISE:
He controls the tempo of the game, with the ability to turn it up at any moment. Very confident in his abilities as a Dual Threat.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good sense of the traffic around him, able to clear space for himself. Very comfortable roaming the pocket while waiting for a potential target to appear.
DECISION MAKING:
A quick-thinking QB who wastes very little time getting the ball out to his best option receivers. An intelligent QB who works well through his progeressions.
TOUCH:
He’s a reactive QB who shows the ability to get the ball out in a hurry but can work to slow things down to create a softer touch when needed.
