SIZE:
Preston has good size for a 2026 Pro Style QB at 5'10" 167 lbs. He works the entire backfield with fluid mobility in all directions. Displays good vision as he surveys the field, making throws at a high release point.
ACCURACY:
When sets up for delivery, he’s right on the mark. Good anticipation of his receivers routes. A good mixture of throws, whether in the pocket or on the run, his throwing motion remains consistent.
ARM STRENGTH:
Preston gets good height and distance on his throws. With long arm extension, he’s able to get the ball over coverage. Strong throws made at short and intermediate range. Tight trajectory of his deep passes, allowing for limited air underneath.
RELEASE:
An over the top delivery, along with an arm motion that’s fully extended. His release point is raised above, giving his throws extra lift.
THROW ON RUN:
He uses the entire field by getting to the outside quickly Displaying good vision and ability to follow his receivers routes. Squares up evenly with his target with strong throws.
FOOTWORK:
Displays good agility as he works to avoid pressure while creating space for himself. Good quickness on the run, working away from traffic.
POISE:
Good patience as he waits for the play to develop. With more game experience, Preston will continue to gain more confidence in his abilities as a QB.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Good awareness of pressure and well as the space around him. He’s perfected the roll out, able to hit at both ends. A tall presence in the backfield with good vision.
DECISION MAKING:
While on the go, Preston's able to zone in on his best option receiver. He a quick hitting QB, who wastes very little time connecting with his target. Will work to improve on going through his progressions with more varsity game experience.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job added a soft touch to his passes made at the intermediate and long range.
