SIZE:
Quaid has very good size for a 2020 Dual Threat QB at 6'2" 190 lbs. He shows urgency, maintaining his composer while making plays. A tough QB with a solid running game, willing to take on would-be tacklers for additional yards. Good height, able to see through the line of scrimmage while surveying the field.
ACCURACY:
His throws are made with the ability for his receivers to make a play on it. They show good ball placement, away from the defender.
ARM STRENGTH:
Quaid gets the ball to his receivers in a hurry. His short and intermediate throws are made with high velocity. Solid vertical passing game with throws made over the top with tight trajectory.
RELEASE:
Throws with a very high release point, adding lift to his throws. An over the top delivery with a fully extended arm motion, getting the ball off in a hurry.
THROW ON RUN:
A very athletic QB who can take over a game with his skills. He’s very quick getting to the outside, can be deadly while on the run.
FOOTWORK:
A quick first step moving in all directions. Great burst of speed and mobility while out in the open field. Runs a 4.8/40.
POISE:
Quaid is in full control of the game situation. He play above the game, able to turn it up at any time. Good awareness of defensive pressure.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to assess the defense, while executing the play. Confident in his abilities as a passer and runner.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job locating his primary target. Nice job picking up on his defensive reads. Works well through his progressions.
TOUCH:
Has very good touch, able to get the ball in between zone coverage, making plays with a catchable ball. Tight trajectory at long range.
