SIZE:
Quail has good size for a 2022 Pro Style QB at 6'0" 160 lbs. He's got raw talent, continues to improve on his QB skills. Sits in the pocket with a tall platform. Good length with a fully extended release, giving his throws added height. He should be able to add bulk to his tall frame over these next couple years.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in line with his receivers, whether he’s stationary or on the run. Will add to his accuracy with more consistency.
ARM STRENGTH:
Quail adds a tight spin on the ball, snapping the ball with a quick release. Very good velocity with rotational zip. Able to get the ball to his intended target in a hurry.
:RELEASE:
He has an over the top delivery with a high release point. Can work to sharpen up on his steps on dropbacks & set ups.
THROW ON RUN:
A lengthy QB who gets to the outside with good quickness. Able to adjust the rotation of his body while getting fixed on his target prior to delivery.
FOOTWORK:
This will be an area of continuous progression. I see Quail perfecting his skills as a running QB over time, combining his throwing ability with his solid potential as a true Dual Threat. He’s an athletic QB who shows good lateral movement and quickness. Runs a 4.6/40.
POISE:
Very comfortable in the pocket, able to settle in while locking down on his target. Will gain further confidence in his abilities as a QB, trusting in his skills with more game experience.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Very agile in and around the pocket. He works well in both directions, showing good lateral movement.
DECISION MAKING:
Quail competes in 7v7 play, which helps his development as a intelligent QB, working through his progressions while connecting with his best option receiver. He’s very decisive on his delivery, wasting very little time getting the ball off.
TOUCH:
He does a nice job adjusting the velocity of his throws at long distance. He’ll continue to work on touch improvements on his short and intermediate game.
