Scouting Report

SIZE:
Ricky has excellent size for a 2021 Pro Style QB at 6’2” 205 lbs. Because of his size, he’s able to see the entire field while standing in the pocket with a tall platform. With his size comes a strong arm, able to extend the defensive coverage with a solid vertical passing game.
ACCURACY:
His throws are in-line with his receivers, displaying a tight spiral and catchable ball. He shows good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes. Displaying very good location on his throws, allowing his receivers to make a play on it.
ARM STRENGTH:
This is one of his QB strengths. He can make deep passes with ease, extending the field with long range bombs.
RELEASE:
Ricky throws the ball with a fully extended arm motion that comes from over the top. He does a nice job adjusting the angle of his delivery when the space is limited around him.
THROW ON RUN:
Most comfortable in the pocket, but athletic enough to get to the outside, while delivering on the run.
FOOTWORK:
Ricky shows good mobility in ans around the pocket. Not considered a Dual Threat but could be used as a runner in short yard situations, especially because of his size.
POISE:
He’s very confident in his abilities as a QB, shows great patience while waiting for his receivers breaks. He’s a leader on the field, as he guides his offensive unit.
POCKET PRESENCE:
Shows a good awareness of incoming pressure, not easily distracted by the noise around him. He does a nice job creating space for himself.
DECISION MAKING:
Ricky does a great job locating his primary target. Able to assess the defense coverage while delivering a strike to his receiver. Will be able to work through his progressions with more game experience. Will need to avoid tight coverage situational throws.
TOUCH:
This is another area of strength for Ricky. He has the ability of adding a softer touch on his throws while reducing the velocity of his delivery. A well balanced passer.
