Santiago has good size for a 2029 Dual Threat QB at 5'2" 110 lbs. This QB thrives on competition, able to step up his game when in pressure situations. He's unstoppable when on the run with cuts, spins and bursts of speed. A playmaker who can improvise.ACCURACY:
His throws are made with sharp precision, able to thread the needle in between coverage. Doesn’t lose much accuracy while on the run, showing good body rotation and follow through.
ARM STRENGTH:
Santiago's throws include high velocity, which allows for the ball to pierce through the defense. He’s vertical game allows him to open up the field for other opportunities at short range. Can work to tighten up trajectory at longer distances.
RELEASE:
He throws with an over the top delivery and a fully extended arm motion. Able to generate acceleration through his release. Does a nice job getting his footing down prior to set up.
THROW ON RUN:
This is where Santiago's skills sets him apart from others at his level. He’s a pure Dual Threat, able to work outside with very good speed and quickness. He’s very dangerous out in the open field with an array of weapons at his disposal.
FOOTWORK:
A natural athlete, very good agility in and out of the pocket. Able to create separation from defenders while on the run. Very good footwork on his dropbacks and setups.
POISE:
Strong confidence to lead his team in any situation. Displays calm under pressure, able to block out the noise around him.
DECISION MAKING:
Does a nice job going through his progressions, using every option available.
TOUCH:
A strong throwing QB who can work to add a softer delivery when needed.
